Project Linus--Providing Security Through Blankets: On July 1, 2019 Mary Tanner with Project Linus received 22 quilts, 5 afghans, and 3 children's pillowcases each handmade by Pine Needlers. These items will be distributed to local children in need. To become a blanketeer contact Mary Tanner 520-235-8697. Project Linus is a non-profit organization with a two-fold mission: To provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans lovingly created by volunteer blanketeers; and to provide a rewarding and fun service opportunity for interested individuals and groups in local communities for the benefit of children. To volunteer, please contact Mary Tanner at 520-235-8697.
