Pine Needlers Quilt Show
August 30-31, 2019
Featured Quilter, Valice Warner
Valice began her love of needlecraft when she learned to knit at age five. Her six children benefited from her skills by wearing clothes that never looked “homemade.” Her interest in quilting began in earnest about 30 years ago. Since that time she has made 100’s of quilts, most for charity and at least one for every member of her large family.
Valice began to suffer from macular degeneration early in this century and knew her ability to create at the level she was used to would decrease. She began to feverishly make quilts for those family members who had not yet received one. At a family reunion in 2009 she was able to present 13 quilts. These quilts are loved and cherished as is she.
Valice became a Pine Needler in 2014 when she and her husband came to live with daughter Marilyn and her husband. She has contributed to many Military and Charity quilts as well as items in the boutique. She is a very prolific and hard worker who doesn’t know the word “quit.” ♥
